The Yamuna Expressway (previously known as the Taj Expressway) Project is a Uttar Pradesh government project, conceived with the idea to not only reduce the travel time between New Delhi and Agra but also to open up avenue for Industrial and Urban development of the region and provide the base for convergence to tourism and other allied industries. The proposed current proposal is to create a new 6 Lanes (extendable to 8 lanes) Access Controlled Expressway with brand name of Yamuna Expressway. This expressway will stretch from Greater Noida to Agra, via Mathura, and will provide much needed expansion space to the National Capital Region. There will be residential, commercial, and industrial all around the expressway. Below is the current plan for the expressway development (near NCR). |
