You could go to 'Blossoms' (Opp. Ameoba) on church street. They keep 2nd hand as well as new books. There is another one inside the complex behind Queens Rest. on church street.

I must say that my experience with Blossoms has been great and am impressed with them. They have a really gud collection of books and also do home delivery. I bought a new book for 800INR which would otherwise cost me 900INR in Landmark...and also got it home-delivered(within 30mins )

There is an excellent shop called "Bookworm" off MG Road.

How to get there: go to Queens restaurant on Church street, and walk into the building via a small entrance next to the restaurant. You'll see a set of small shops arranged in a circle - one of those is Bookworm.

Hope that helps.

If you are looking for very old books or non-run-of-the-mill books, you should check out "Select" book shop, off Brigade Road. It is at the end of a small lane off the side of the Brigade Road that has KFC, Radio House, Scullers, Barrista, etc. This book shop is not very well known, especially among people new to Bangalore, but it has a treasure of remarkable books that are very hard to find, let alone buy, anywhere else.

Some blurb on this book shop:
