I have stayed at St John's for nearly 10 days( in 2000) with my relative who was diagnosed with kidney failure. I did not find the approach of the hospital good. They do not allow anybody to be with the patient when the doctor comes for the rounds at the ward and it is very difficult to communicate with them later. Also the worst part was one PG doctor directly told the patient in a very casual manner about the kidney failure in the first instance. This may not be the case always. But i found it really rude.

From facilities point of view, it may have more options eg. there are not many hospitals which do a kidney transplantation. But one strange thing of the hospital is: If some test can not be done at the hospital, they do not get that done in other premier hospitals in Bangalore; but they send it to Christian Medical college, Vellore with which they have tie-up. But this causes delay as in the case of one patient whom i had met at that time.
